Terms and Conditions

Terms of Service

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of cybersecurityprnews.com (the “Website”) and the services provided by CybersecurityPRNews (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

CybersecurityPRNews is a brand operated by Control PR F.Z.C. (License No. 52097), a Free Zone Company registered at Ajman Freezone C1 Building, Ajman, United Arab Emirates (the “Company”).

By accessing the Website, submitting a service enquiry, or engaging our services, you (“you” or the “Client”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Editorial Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website and do not engage our services.

1. Description of Service

CybersecurityPRNews provides organic public relations services to cybersecurity vendors, including security software companies, MSSPs, threat intelligence platforms, identity and access management providers, cloud security companies, DevSecOps tools, vulnerability management vendors, and the wider infosec industry. Our services include editorial content writing, pitching, placement on third-party publications, and post-campaign reporting (collectively, the “Service”).

Unlike paid press release wire services, we focus on earning editorial coverage through direct relationships with publications and journalists. While we deliver against agreed package specifications, the timing, formatting, and final editorial decisions of individual placements remain at the discretion of each publishing partner.

2. Service Packages, Pricing, and Payment

Packages. We offer pre-arranged service packages with defined deliverables published on our Website. Custom campaigns may be agreed separately by written quote.

Pricing. Prices are stated in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices may be updated from time to time, but updates do not affect campaigns for which payment has already been received.

Payment. Full payment is due in advance of campaign commencement. Campaigns will not begin until payment is received in full. We accept payment via:

  • Credit card
  • Bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • Cryptocurrency: USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH

Taxes. Prices are exclusive of any applicable VAT, sales tax, or other indirect taxes, which will be added to invoices where legally required.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation window. Once a campaign is submitted to CybersecurityPRNews, articles are dispatched to partner publications shortly thereafter. Once dispatched, placements are out of our control to halt. For this reason, Clients may cancel a campaign and receive a full refund only within one (1) hour of campaign submission — before articles have been forwarded to publications. After this one-hour window has elapsed, no refund will be issued for cancellation requests, as the campaign is already in motion at the publication level.

Specific-article refunds. A pro-rated refund for an individual article within a campaign is available only where both of the following conditions are met:

  • The article was not secured due to circumstances outside the Client’s control and not attributable to the Client’s content, conduct, eligibility, or any failure to meet the Editorial Policy
  • No adequate replacement publication of equivalent tier is available

In such cases, the refund applies only to the value of the unfulfilled article and not to any other portion of the campaign.

Removal after placement. As detailed in our Editorial Policy, content removed by a publication after placement due to legal disputes, regulatory action, security incidents affecting the Client, or other reputational events is not subject to refund. CybersecurityPRNews does not control partner publications and cannot guarantee indefinite hosting.

No other refund entitlements. Other than as expressly set out above, no refunds will be issued.

4. Service Delivery and Editorial Discretion

Timelines. Indicative delivery timelines are stated for each package. First placements typically go live within 24 hours to 7 days of campaign commencement, depending on the package tier and target publication mix. Higher-tier mainstream publications operate on longer editorial cycles. Timelines are best-effort estimates, not contractual deadlines.

Specific publications. Where packages name specific guaranteed publications, we work to deliver placements at those outlets. If a named publication cannot accept a specific story for editorial reasons — including but not limited to story fit, timing, prior coverage of similar topics, or publication-specific editorial decisions — we will replace the placement with an equivalent or higher-tier publication at no additional cost. The publication mix for packages without specifically named outlets is matched to the announcement and audience.

Editorial adjustments by publications. Partner publications retain editorial control over content they publish. Individual publications may make edits to submitted articles before publication — including headline adjustments, introductory or closing paragraph modifications, formatting changes, technical clarifications, and stylistic tweaks — to align with their editorial standards. These adjustments are a normal part of the editorial process and do not entitle the Client to a refund or to retraction of the placement.

Backlinks. We guarantee one (1) backlink per published article. Whether this link is dofollow or nofollow depends on the individual publication’s editorial policy and the package selected, as set out in our Editorial Policy.

Editorial standards. All content placed through our Service must meet the requirements set out in our Editorial Policy, including responsible disclosure norms, technical accuracy, and prohibitions on FUD-driven content. Submissions that do not meet those requirements may be returned for revision or refused. Editorial decisions are final.

5. Client Responsibilities and Warranties

By engaging our Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have full legal authority to enter into these Terms and to authorise the placement of submitted content
  • All information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete
  • You own or have obtained all necessary rights to any text, images, brand assets, names, quotes, research findings, and other materials submitted to us
  • Submitted content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
  • Submitted content complies with the laws applicable in the jurisdictions where you operate and where placements are intended
  • You hold all licences, certifications, and registrations claimed in submitted content
  • Any vulnerability disclosures, threat research, or incident reporting comply with industry-accepted responsible disclosure practices and applicable regulations
  • Submitted content complies with our Editorial Policy

You grant CybersecurityPRNews and our partner publications a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to edit, publish, distribute, and display submitted content for the purposes of fulfilling the Service. You retain ownership of your original content.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared in the course of an engagement, including but not limited to unannounced product launches, M&A discussions, financial information, security incidents, vulnerability disclosures under coordinated timeline, executive changes, customer information, and strategic plans. Confidential information may be shared only with employees, contractors, and partner publications who reasonably need it to deliver the Service, and only under equivalent confidentiality obligations.

The confidentiality obligation survives termination of the engagement and remains in effect until the relevant information is publicly disclosed by the Client or otherwise lawfully enters the public domain.

The Client agrees not to disclose CybersecurityPRNews’s internal pricing structures, partner relationships, or operational processes to third parties except as required by law.

7. Intellectual Property

Our property. All content, branding, trademarks, software, and proprietary materials on the Website and within the Service are the property of Control PR F.Z.C. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use them without our express written consent.

Your property. You retain ownership of all original content and assets you submit. You grant us the licence described in Section 5 for the purpose of delivering the Service.

Published content. Once content is placed on a partner publication, the publication’s own terms govern the hosting, display, and ongoing use of that content. CybersecurityPRNews has no control over publication-level decisions regarding placed content.

8. Permitted Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Website and Service only for their intended purpose. You may not:

  • Submit content that violates our Editorial Policy, including content that contains functional exploit code, unsupported threat attribution, or FUD-driven framing
  • Misrepresent your identity, certifications, or authority to act on behalf of any company or individual
  • Use the Service to publish defamatory content about competitors, customers, or other organisations
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Website or our systems
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate any unlawful activity
  • Resell, redistribute, or rebrand our Service as your own without our written agreement
  • Submit content related to security products or services operating in jurisdictions where such operations are unlawful or unlicensed

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any engagement that violates these provisions, with no obligation to refund fees paid in respect of work already completed.

9. Disclaimers

The Website and Service are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the Website or Service.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Specific search engine ranking improvements, traffic increases, lead generation, or business outcomes will result from our Service
  • Any specific publication will accept, publish, or retain placed content
  • Backlinks will deliver any particular SEO outcome
  • Editorial coverage will result in specific buyer, analyst, or investor outcomes

The Service is intended for business-to-business use. The Website is not directed at children under 18.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CybersecurityPRNews and Control PR F.Z.C., together with their affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, reputational harm, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

If you are dissatisfied with the Service, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Control PR F.Z.C., CybersecurityPRNews, and their respective officers, employees, contractors, and partners from and against any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs, and legal fees arising out of or related to:

  • Your breach of these Terms, the Editorial Policy, or any applicable law
  • Content you submit, including any claim of inaccuracy, infringement, unauthorised use, defamation, or violation of responsible disclosure norms
  • Your business operations, products, services, certification claims, or security posture representations
  • Any third-party claim arising from content placed at your direction
  • Any post-publication legal action involving the Client or content subjects

12. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, war, terrorism, civil unrest, internet or telecommunications outages, large-scale cyberattacks, sanctions, or actions of third-party publications and platforms.

Such events may result in slight delays to campaign delivery or, where a specific publication is unable to publish a confirmed article for force-majeure reasons, the substitution of that placement with a publication of equivalent tier and authority. Delays and substitutions arising from force-majeure events do not entitle the Client to a refund.

The affected party will notify the other party as soon as reasonably possible and will use reasonable efforts to mitigate the impact.

13. Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering

The Client warrants that:

  • It is not subject to sanctions imposed by the United Arab Emirates, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other relevant authorities
  • It will not use our Service in violation of applicable anti-money-laundering, anti-bribery, counter-terrorism financing, or sanctions laws
  • It will not use our Service to promote products or services that are unlicensed or unlawful in the jurisdictions where placements are intended
  • The funds used to pay for our Service originate from lawful sources

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any engagement that we reasonably believe would violate such laws, with no obligation to refund fees paid. Where required, we may request additional verification information from the Client to comply with our own AML and know-your-customer obligations under UAE law.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Website and our placements may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Accessing such links is at your own risk.

15. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL with the “Last updated” date below. Material changes will be communicated via the Website or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Website or Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The version in effect at the time of campaign commencement applies to that campaign.

16. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Editorial Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Website and Service.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applicable in the Emirate of Ajman. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ajman, United Arab Emirates.

Where permitted by law, the parties shall attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation before initiating formal proceedings.
